Summer in Shillington Gardens returns on Sunday 9th June, from 11:00-17:00, with a free day out full of activities for all local families! 

Join us for an incredible selection of fun and free activities to take part in, including circus skills, archery, science workshops, pottery, boxing, yoga and craft sessions, with snacks and drinks from Vibes Café available to purchase throughout your visit.

Explore the Programme

  • Get flexible with Live Karma Yoga and their incredible teachers, who’ll be hosting a family-friendly session at 12:00 and a Vinyasa Flow session for adults at 13:00. Live Karma Yoga sessions last for 45 minutes each, cost just £2 per person. Any remaining spaces will be available on the day.

  • Visit the Boom Circus skills workshops for a chance to learn aerial acrobatics, unicycling, juggling, hula-hooping, tight-wire walking and more from their wonderful team. Or sit back and let the pros wow you with their 30-minute live shows, taking place at 12:00 and 15:30.

  • Sublime Science will be hosting a selection of fascinating workshops throughout the day including slime making and other hands-on experiments where your little ones can learn about sound, electricity, air and gravity! Suitable for children aged 5 - 12. Available from 11:00 - 17:00

  • Hand sculpt your very own clay pottery masterpiece with advice and guidance from the wonderfully talented team at the Putney School of Art & Design. Available from 12:00 - 17:00.

  • Hit the pads with Carney’s Community Boxing Ring set up in the Park, with 2 coaches on hand for ‘have-a-go’ sessions throughout the day. Carney’s Community is inspired by Mick Carney, the boxing legend who motivated and turned around many lives through engagement with boxing. Mick introduced youth worker George Turner to boxing coach Mark Reigate and together they founded Carney’s Community in 2011. Available from 11:00 - 17:00

  • Explore a fire truck from the Este Road Fire Station, spray a cannon and learn fire safety advice from their team of firemen and cadets. Suitable for all ages. The Este Road team and truck will be in the park from 11:00 to 17:00 subject to circumstances.

  • Let your little ones loose on a bouncy castle or unleash them on our 70-foot inflatable obstacle course! After a good old bounce, they can channel their inner Robin Hood with our archery classes! Bouncy castle suitable for children up to 10. Obstacle course for ages 5+. Available from 11:00 - 17:00.

  • If you’re looking for a quieter space for your little ones, we’ll also be hosting an arts & crafts zone with colouring and other calm activities. Suitable for all ages with parent supervision. Available from 11:00 - 17:00
